Japanese popular singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze is set to return to the mainland in November this year with his ‘Best of Fujii Kaze 2020-2024’ ASIA TOUR, visiting Chengdu and Shanghai. Last year, Kaze held his first Asia tour, and this ‘Best of Fujii Kaze 2020-2024’ ASIA TOUR has been fully upgraded, expanding the stage to the scale of a stadium. The tour is expected to start on October 26th in Singapore, followed by performances in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Chengdu, Shanghai, Jakarta, and Hong Kong.
FUJII KAZE, Kaze Fujii, is a rising singer-songwriter in Japan. Encouraged by his father, he began learning to play the piano as a child. Kaze started covering popular songs by himself at the age of 12, uploading videos to YouTube, which caught the attention of the music industry and led to a record deal. In May 2020, amidst the pandemic, Kaze released his debut album ‘HELP EVER HURT NEVER,’ which conveyed a message of not hurting anyone and extending a helping hand to the world. The album topped the Billboard Japan Hot Album Chart and earned Kaze several significant Japanese music awards. Kaze was also selected by YouTube as Japan’s first ‘Artist On The Rise’ and included in Spotify’s global program ‘RADAR New Forces.’ In September 2021, Kaze held the Fujii Kaze ‘Free’ Live 2021 concert at Yokohama’s Nissan Stadium, which was very inspiring. Despite the Japanese government’s state of emergency due to the pandemic, Kaze performed a live-streamed concert without a live audience in a stadium that could hold 70,000 people, hoping to convey a sense of spiritual freedom to the audience. This live-streamed concert became a sensation and a trending topic on Twitter worldwide. In March 2022, Kaze released his second album ‘LOVE ALL SERVE ALL,’ named after one of his favorite phrases and echoing the name of his debut album. The album once again topped the Billboard Japan Hot Album Chart and won Kaze several important awards.
In July 2022, the track ‘Shinunoga E-Wa’ from Fujii Kaze’s debut album unexpectedly soared in popularity in Thailand. The song reached the 4th spot on the Spotify Global Viral chart and topped local viral charts in 23 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Brazil, and Egypt, with an impressive second place on the US charts. In October 2022, Fujii Kaze performed at the Panasonic Stadium Suita, a 70,000-capacity venue in Osaka, for the LOVE ALL SERVE ALL STADIUM LIVE concert, which saw an overwhelmingly positive response and sold-out tickets! The concert is now available globally on Netflix.
From June to July 2023, Fujii Kaze embarked on an 11-show tour across 7 cities in Asia, with every venue selling out. In May 2024, Fujii Kaze toured the United States. In August of the same year, his special performance at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, attracted 140,000 fans, marking an unprecedented scene.
