The Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall is situated within the first large roof floating on Fulin Lake and the circular buildings on the sides. The entire exhibition space is set underwater. Entering the exhibition hall gives visitors the impression of stepping underground and walking towards ancient times. The exhibition hall is designed with the concept of a ‘Journey Through Time and Space’, showcasing scenes such as the archaeological memories of Guangfulin, the evolution of Shanghai’s land formation, the arrival of ancient inhabitants, the formation of urban characteristics, the prosperity of Songjiang County Government, the rise of Shanghai city, and moving towards a future tomorrow. It allows visitors to experience and read about this city of Shanghai, where it comes from and where it is going, through a time tunnel. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round; during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the opening hours are extended to 09:00 to 21:00. Preferential policies include free admission for children: children with a height of 1.3 meters (inclusive) or under 6 years old (inclusive); free admission for disabled people: disabled people with valid certificates; free admission for firefighters: active, retired, and disabled firefighters (including government professional firefighters) and fire rescue academy students with valid certificates; free admission for active military personnel, disabled veterans, and active military families: active military personnel, disabled veterans, and active military families with valid certificates; free admission for martyrs’ families, families of soldiers who died in the line of duty, and families of soldiers who died of illness: martyrs’ families, families of soldiers who died in the line of duty, and families of soldiers who died of illness with valid certificates.
