The Suzhou River Landscape Walkway is a riverside green space formed by the comprehensive renovation of Suzhou River in Shanghai. It has been designed to accommodate a variety of viewing walkways and supporting facilities, transforming Suzhou River into a leisure and entertainment destination. The walkway, paved with red, brown, and white bricks, ranges from 5 to 8 meters wide, with evergreen trees planted along the south side, separating pedestrians from traffic. Every few hundred meters, there are rain shelters designed in the shape of leaves. On the north side of the walkway, near Suzhou River, waist-high iron railings and flood control walls have been installed according to the varying heights of the embankment. Notably, the railings are designed in a silver wavy pattern, and the landscape lights beside them resemble the shape of white magnolias. The undulating design conveniently forms benches for resting, adding a unique touch. At the end of the walkway stands a small tower, which exudes a sense of technology. When light and shadow enter through the tower’s windows, they create a special light and shadow effect, making it a popular photo spot among young people. Looking across Suzhou River from this point, the opposite bank is also lush and beautiful, offering a very picturesque view.
