Play: In the splendid and star-studded capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, the young Li Qingzhao emerges, coming with the waves. Her poetry is clear and bright, her literary grace dazzling, overshadowing many talented scholars of the time. On the Lantern Festival, Li Qingzhao and Zhao Mingcheng meet, regretting not having met sooner. They are a perfect match, hard to part with each other. The Jingkang Incident leads to officials fleeing and civilians scattering, with suffering and chaos everywhere. Li Qingzhao is filled with grief and indignation. By the Wu River, she reflects on the past and present, her patriotic feelings gushing forth. Zhao Mingcheng, overwhelmed with shame, dies of illness. In the late autumn of the Jiangnan region, devastated by war, Li Qingzhao escorts the Jinshi on a difficult journey south. In her loneliness and desolation, she encounters Zhang Ruzhou, who covets her Jinshi and is deceived. Her dreams shattered by violence, Li Qingzhao awakens abruptly, fights back, and sues for justice. Looking back on her life, like a phoenix reborn from the ashes, Li Qingzhao re-engages with the Jinshi, continuing the cultural lineage. After the rain, the sky clears, revealing a beauty that surpasses jade. It should be lush green and sparse red, yet the begonias remain as ever. A thousand years later, Li Qingzhao still stands tall and independent.
