Dianshan Lake Scenic Area boasts a serene environment with misty trees along the banks, embodying the charm of a Jiangnan water town. It is connected to Taihu Lake in the west and Huangpu River in the east. The scenic area is bisected by Qingshang Highway, dividing the tourist area into eastern and western sections. The eastern half features natural attractions, including a 100-meter long artificial dam named ‘Willow Dam in Spring Dawn’, where willows are green and flowers are red, blending with the water and sky to offer a panoramic view of Dianshan Lake. The western half of the area is an antique street named ‘Stone City Ancient Style’, which provides living services for tourists. The surroundings of Dianshan Lake Scenic Area are also rich in historical and cultural landscapes, such as the Songze Ancient Cultural Site and Tang Village Ancient Cultural Site. There are also abundant ancient buildings, such as the Qinglong Temple from the Tang Dynasty. By the lake, there is a ‘Water Sports Field’, serving as an international rowing and canoeing training and competition venue. On the eastern side of the lake, there are water sports fields, yacht clubs, golf courses, and fishing clubs for tourists to experience. The scenic area is far from the city center with little traffic, making it suitable for family weekend getaways by car. Open all year round, accessible 24/7.
