Located in the town center of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, it is composed of Shide Bridge and Yongan Bridge. The bridge decks of the two bridges are horizontal and vertical respectively. The bridge openings are square and round. They look very much like ancient keys, so they are commonly known as key bridges. In 1984, Chen Yifei’s painting ‘Memories of Hometown’ took the Double Bridges as the main body. Therefore, the Double Bridges became famous, and Zhouzhuang also became famous at home and abroad. The Double Bridges were built in the Ming Dynasty and have been repaired many times later. The reflection of Shide Bridge on the river surface and the bridge opening itself form a standard circle. With beautiful shapes, it is an object for photography enthusiasts and art academy students to take photos and do sketches. However, during holidays, the Double Bridges are often the crowded places in the ancient town. Every tourist wants to take a photo with this landmark of the ancient town.
