The China 3D Printing Cultural Museum is located in the Wisdom Bay Science and Innovation Park at No. 6 Yun Chuan Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai. It is the only museum in China and globally themed around additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Officially awarded the title of ‘China 3D Printing Cultural Museum’ by the Industrial Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on July 19, 2017, the museum serves multiple functions including cultural and historical education, cultural experience, and consumption of cultural derivative products. It plans and hosts cultural activities centered on keywords such as ‘3D printing’, ‘3D technology’, ‘3D design’, ‘new materials’, ‘VRAR’, and ‘intelligent manufacturing’. The museum has become a focal point for the additive manufacturing industry both domestically and internationally, with a high brand demonstration effect and an international outreach. The museum covers an area of approximately 5,000 square meters and houses nearly a thousand pieces of 3D printing technology applied in various industries. It consists of six floors with nine major functional areas including a permanent exhibition hall, themed exhibition halls, a 3D printing material library, a 3D printing research center, a creative corridor, an interactive exhibition hall, an image exhibition hall, a 3D sky garden, and a 3D children’s activity center, all integrating historical and cultural education and cultural experience. Opening hours are from January 1st to June 21st, Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 16:30; closed all day on Mondays; on June 22nd, open from 12:00 to 16:30; from June 23rd to December 31st, open Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 16:30; during the Spring Festival, Labor Day, and National Day, open from 09:30 to 16:30. Concessions are offered to children: children under 1 meter (inclusive) enter free of charge with adult supervision (each adult can accompany up to two children); free for the elderly: seniors aged 70 years old and above with valid identification; discounted for students: children over 1 meter and full-time undergraduate students with a valid student ID; discounted for military personnel/revolutionary martyrs’ relatives: active-duty soldiers, disabled soldiers, and families of martyrs with valid identification; discounted for the disabled: individuals with disabilities with valid identification.
