The ‘Starlight, Grass, and Symphony’ concert, one of the Macau Orchestra’s 2024-25 season performances, will take place on November 16th (Saturday) at 7:45 PM at the Macao Cultural Centre Square. The concert will be led by the Macau Orchestra’s Music Director and Chief Conductor, Liao Guomin, in collaboration with internationally renowned Grammy-winning ‘Trumpet King’ Chris Botti. This open-air concert will showcase a fusion of popular classics and jazz elements. American trumpeter and composer Chris Botti, known as the ‘Trumpet King,’ has been a professional musician since high school, and his superb skills have been recognized for many years, accumulating countless fans. In addition to jazz, he is versatile in his performances, effortlessly moving between various music genres, including jazz, rock, pop, and classical. Since his debut in 1995, he has received numerous awards, including a Grammy for ‘Best Pop Instrumental Album’ for his album ‘Impressions.’ The ‘Starlight, Grass, and Symphony’ concert marks the Macau Orchestra’s first outdoor lawn concert, where audiences are invited to enjoy a picnic on-site with friends and family, experiencing a unique performance atmosphere different from that of a concert hall.
