Perched on a small hill, this site was once a military fortification constructed by the Portuguese and expanded in 1662 to the size it is seen today. The barracks are enclosed by stone walls that are 2 zhang high and over 20 zhang wide, housing 10 cannons and adorned with some ornamental plants, making it a small attraction that is not particularly eye-catching. Open all year round, the site is accessible 24 hours a day.
