Upon entering the gates of The Forbidden City Museum, one is greeted by a pair of large stone sculptures of civil and military officials from the Tang Dynasty, flanking the entrance on either side, along with the ‘Spirit Stone’ that symbolizes the establishment of the nation. The museum houses a collection of artifacts including Zheng Chenggong’s saddle, Yue Fei’s sword, and the relics of Shakyamuni Buddha. The museum is open all year round, from Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
