Previously, this place was called Laodagong Cemetery. Every time when the Ghost Gate opens in July of the lunar calendar, Laodagong Temple will open the Ghost Gate and offer salvation to the wandering souls with a grand ceremony. The large-scale worship activities make it famous throughout Taiwan. When closing the Ghost Gate, Taoists will close the Ghost Gate with customs such as jumping Zhong Kui and burning the Great Lord. Open all year round and all day.
