Da Yu Ling offers a serene beauty embraced by mountains, where you can gaze upon towering cliffs such as Pingfeng Mountain, Nanhu Mountain, Zhongyang Peak, and Shimen, and overlook the Liwu River Valley, instantly broadening your mind. During the annual snow season, it attracts many visitors to enjoy the snow. In autumn, a 15-minute drive towards Lishan leads to the stunning Red Maple Valley, where the vibrant red leaves of the maples are a sight to behold. Da Yu Ling stands at an altitude of 2565 meters, with fragile geology and rock layers mostly in flaky and clastic forms. It was named ‘Da Yu Ling’ due to the arduous construction, akin to the legendary Yu the Great’s efforts in controlling the floods. The high mountain tea cultivated in Da Yu Ling is considered a high-grade variety among Taiwan’s teas. The tea region is located in the high-altitude Central Mountain Range, with significant temperature differences between day and night, surrounded by mist, and rich in organic soil content. The resulting tea leaves produce a clear and transparent infusion with a sweet and delicious taste. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
