The Grand Hotel has two secret passages, one to the east and one to the west. Starting from 2019, the west passage and then the east passage were opened in sequence. The west passage leads to the Jiantan Park and is 85 meters long, equipped with 52 explosion-proof lights. The interior of the passage is winding and includes a 20-meter-long slide at the entrance for emergency evacuation. Next to the slide, there are 74 steps leading to a cement-paved flat path that continues to the second metal door at the exit. The east passage leads to the former residence of Miss Kong and is 67 meters long with 84 steps. It is deliberately designed to be winding to avoid pursuers and straight-line bullets. Additionally, the rough wall surface, besides being made of reinforced concrete, enhances the sound absorption effect, making it difficult for pursuers to locate. The passage is equipped with 43 explosion-proof lights, ensuring that in the event of an explosion, fragments will not be scattered causing secondary injuries. The passages are open year-round from 10:00 to 15:30.
