Yin Haiguang’s former residence is located in Lane 18, Wenzhou Street, Taipei. It was once part of the faculty dormitory complex of Taipei Imperial University. Yin Haiguang moved into this dormitory in 1956 and lived here until his passing in 1969. He was a pioneer of liberalism and a professor at the National Taiwan University at the time. Throughout his life, he advocated for liberalism and was courageous in criticizing the politics of his era, inspiring academic and social conscience. Even Li Ao held him in high regard for his spirit. The residence is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM; and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, all year round.
