Yan Xishan was a famous figure in the period of the Republic of China. He died of illness in Taipei on May 23, 1960 and was buried in Yangmingshan, Taipei. The tomb of Yan Xishan is surrounded by peaks and ridges and lush forests and bamboos. The tombstone and dome in the cemetery, the tomb passage leading up step by step in front and the mountain at the back form a complete feng shui form of the cemetery. Yan Xishan’s Tomb, together with Zhongneng Cave and red brick house in Yan Xishan’s former residence hundreds of meters away, are listed as historical sites and complement each other. Open all day all year round.
