The Shin Kong Life Insurance Skyscraper, abbreviated as ‘Shin Kong Building’, is located on Zhongxiao West Road, adjacent to Taipei Station. It is one of the landmark high-rise buildings in the center of Taipei. The building was completed in 1993. It has 51 floors above ground and 7 floors underground, with a total height of 244.15 meters. After the Kaohsiung 85 Building and Taipei 101 were successively built, it became the third tallest building in Taiwan. The 1st to 13th floors of the building are the Taipei Q Square Store of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store. The observation deck on the 46th floor originally offered a panoramic view of Taipei, but currently it should not be open to the public.
