Xiangtian Lake is located in Donghe Village, Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County. To the southeast, it is adjacent to Luchang across the Guangtian alpine ridge. According to legend, several hundred years ago, this place was originally a lake. In the past, people looked up at the sky when seeing the lake, and since then it has been named Xiangtian Lake. To the southwest, it is connected to Penglai Village. At the foot to the northwest are Nanjiang Village and Donghe Village. Due to the relatively high terrain here, it is often filled with fog. The Pasta’ay festival held once every two years and on a grand scale once every ten years at Xiangtian Lake is an important festival for the Saisiyat people. Open all year round and all day.
