Wugu Shourang Hall is the ancestral home of the indigenous Wu Yu family and also a historical building. In 1916, to celebrate the 70th birthday of Wu Yu, who had served as the village head of Guiziping District, his descendants pooled together 30,000 yuan and used the steamship of the family business ‘Hefeng Trading Company’ to transport many building materials from other places, such as porcelain and stone, to build a Southern Min-style Sanheyuan at Chengtai Road and Denglin Road in Wugu District, which is Wu’s ‘lower house’ with the hall name ‘Shourang Hall’. The hall is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00.
