Remains of Taipei Prison Wall

The remains of the wall were initially built around 1910. Most of the stones used for the wall were taken from the demolished Taipei Prefecture city wall. Mainly andesite and Qili’an stone, these were materials transported from stone quarries near Dazhi and Neihu during the Guangxu years of the late Qing Dynasty to build the Taipei Prefecture city. Open all day throughout the year.
