The Shimen Reservoir is one of the major reservoirs in northern Taiwan. It is located in the Shimen Gorge between Daxi District, Taoyuan City, Longtan District, Fuxing District and Guansi Town, Hsinchu County. It adopts an earth-rock embankment dam body and is formed by intercepting the water of the Dahan River. It is Taiwan’s first multi-functional reservoir. Opening hours: Open from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round. The specific opening hours are subject to the actual situation of the scenic spot on the day.
