Jinan Palace in Nanfang’ao is located in the Su’ao Naval Base. It is a temple dedicated to Mazu, the Queen of Heaven. The statue of Mazu enshrined here weighs about 600 kilograms and is a ‘gem coral Mazu’ carved from coral and gold. The face, hands and token of Mazu are all carved from the rare huge MOMO coral, which is truly rare. In front of the statue of Mazu is placed a red coral tree. Mazu faces the busy fishing port and protects the fishermen who go out to sea and fish to return safely. Opening hours: Open all year round from 06:00 to 20:00.
