Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Mingde Village, Touwu Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan, Mingde Reservoir is a serene body of water embraced by lush mountains and known for its crystal clear waters. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely boat ride around the reservoir to fully appreciate its beauty. The reservoir is home to three distinctive islands: Yuanyang Island, which features unique architectural pavilions; Rixin Island, abundant with fruit trees; and Haitang Island, where the ancient Yongchun Palace temple stands, accessible via a picturesque suspension bridge, offering stunning views. In the vicinity of the reservoir, one can find Mingde Elementary School, Mingde Police Station, Mingde Reservoir Management Office, Mingde Water Purification Plant, Teachers’ Club, Tea Factory, and the Labor Recreation Center. The reservoir is open to the public 24/7 throughout the year.
