The park was built in 1886. After the Sino-French War, it was built to strengthen coastal defense. It has a rectangular plane design in the shape of a Chinese character ‘回’. It includes city walls, camp gates, parapets, gun emplacements, corridors, and squares. There are also barracks and ammunition depots that can accommodate 5,000 people. Open all year round and all day.
