Fenniaolin Fishing Port is located in Nan’ao Township, Yilan County, at the southern end of Dong’ao Bay. The bay, which is curved and arc-shaped, is composed of sandy beaches and rocky reefs. The blue mountain and sea views are all-encompassing, and the sound of waves crashing against the rocky shore can be heard in the distance. Standing at the turn of the Suhua Highway above the Black Rock Corner, the scenery is quite enchanting. In the early days, there were many pigeons gathered here, and pigeons are called ‘fenniaolin’ in Taiwan, hence the name ‘Fenniaolin Fishing Port’. The port is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
