Bamboo Grove Mountain Guanyin Temple

Nestled in Jinghu Village, Linkou Township, Taipei County, this temple venerates the statue of the eighteen-armed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. It was established during the Xinyou year of the Jiaqing era (A.D. 1811), originating from Longshan Temple in Anhai, Jinjiang County, Fujian Province. Devotees from the ‘Dapingding’ area (Wuhu, Wuken, Guaishan) reverently invited the sacred image of the ‘Dama’ to be enshrined in rotation among the ‘Shi Ba Ping Wei’ (now renamed as Shuilinkou, Jingpu, Taipingling, Nanshiba, Dahu, Taipei, Xinzhuang, Taishan, Shuilin (Xisheng), Dingpojiao, Taoyuan, Dazhu, Nankan, Dayuan, Kengziwai, Dananwan, Xiaonanwan, Guaishan, Xiahu, etc., twenty in total). The temple is open to visitors from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM all year round.
