Scala Square Gallery

Among the many ancient squares in Milan, Scala Square is relatively young. It is located in the city center of Milan and is named after the famous Scala Opera House on the northwest side of the square. In the center of the square stands a sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci. To the southeast is Milan’s City Hall, the Palazzo Marino, and to the northeast is the Bank of Italy. Most of the buildings in the square were designed by architect Luca Beltrami. The square is open year-round on Tuesdays-Wednesdays and Fridays-Sundays from 09:30 to 19:30; on Thursdays from 09:30 to 22:30; and closed on Mondays. Amenities include restrooms and restaurants. Accessibility services include accessible entrances, elevators, and restrooms. Important tips: Be aware of your safety and be vigilant against pickpockets.
