Xian Dong Yan is located in the Xian Dong Li area, Zhongzheng District, in the northwest of Keelung
It is said that immortals practiced here and ascended to heaven, hence the name Xian Dong
It is a natural sea-eroded cave, with seawater beside it
Today, due to the rise in the coastline, it is more than 10 meters away from the sea
Around Xian Dong, there are peculiar rocks and strange stones, naturally formed, with captivating landscapes
As you climb the steps, you can see the three words ‘Xian Dong Yan’ on a stele
Next to the stone steps in front of the cave stands a large Buddha statue, majestic and splendid, available for worship
The opening hours are from 08:30 to 16:00 all year round
