The Taichung National Opera House (referred to as the Taichung Opera House) is a large public exhibition space located in the seventh-phase rezoned area of Xitun District, Taichung City
It is designed by a Japanese architect and covers an area of 57,685 square meters
Inside the opera house, there is one large theater (2014 seats), one medium-sized theater (800 seats), and one small experimental theater (200 seats)
There are also catering spaces and sky gardens
In December 2009, Liming Construction began to construct the main building
The unique construction methods (curved wall construction method and water curtain fire protection design) have also been recognized worldwide
It was completed and opened on November 23, 2014
