Qingquan Hot Spring is located in Taoshan Village, Wufeng Township, Xinzhu County, beside Shangpingxi River, and is the settlement of the Thao and Saisiat tribes
It was developed in 1913 AD and was originally used exclusively by the Japanese police along the Aiyong Line, hence the name ‘Inoue Hot Spring’
It also has the reputation of ‘Qingquan Trial Bath’ and is one of the eight scenic spots of Xinzhu
Visitors to Qingquan Hot Spring can reach the destination by two suspension bridges; the first bridge leads to the tribal market in the mountains, while the second bridge directly leads to the hot spring
One can also take a detour to the Dalulin Trail to experience the charming scenery of Xinzhu tourism
Qingquan Hot Spring has several spring outlets with an average temperature of about 48 degrees Celsius, and it is a colorless, odorless neutral carbonated spring
Qingquan Catholic Church is a magnificent church in the Qingquan area
In 1976, Father Ding Songqing arrived in Qingquan and began his career as a priest
With his love and perseverance, and his artistic talent, he turned the church into a garden of religious and folk culture
This unique church has become the center of art, spirit, and culture in the village
The church is adorned with colorful stained glass designed by Father Ding himself, and the walls are covered with murals and woodcuts themed around the local ethnic minorities
