The Meteorological Museum, formerly known as the Tainan Weather Station, is a distinctive building, also referred to as the Pepper Pot
The central tower is the ‘Wind Tower,’ where staff used to climb periodically to visually observe the quantity and direction of clouds, as well as visibility

On clear days, they could see up to thirty to forty kilometers away
Daily notes from these observations are now exhibited in the museum, along with numerous historical artifacts and meteorological knowledge
The museum is open all year round, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
