Originally, Qingshui Temple was dedicated to Qingshui Zu Shi
After a heavy rain, a piece of driftwood was found in the moat in front of the temple
The locals retrieved it, carved it into the golden statue of Guanyin, and began to worship the ‘Water Flowing Guanyin’, changing the main deity to the Buddha Guanyin while continuing to honor Qingshui Zu Shi
The temple is open all year round from 6:00 to 20:00
