Jiayi Tougang Zhenwu Temple, during the late Qing Dynasty, was established by the ancestors who crossed the sea to Taiwan and settled in Chaitougang Fort
The temple was damaged in the 1941 Jiayi earthquake and was reconstructed in 1947
However, due to the expansion of the water airport, the temple was relocated and rebuilt at its current site in 1957
