The temple underwent a major renovation and reconstruction in the 30th year of the Daoguang Emperor, transforming it into a grand temple with three main halls
It wasn’t until 1992 AD that the Town God Temple was designated as a third-grade historical site and was subsequently rebuilt
The temple primarily worships the Town God, who is an important deity widely revered in Han Chinese religious culture
Due to the Town God having been ennobled as a marquis, a plaque inscribed with ‘Zhongyou Hou’ can be seen hanging within the temple
The temple is open all year round; Saturday to Sunday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
