Takiung Trading House, established by the British East India Company in the 6th year of the Tongzhi era (1867), was a commercial office located in Anping Hatto-sha at that time, engaged in the bulk trade of sugar and other commodities
Along with Takiung, Yee Kee, Wo Kee, Tung Hing, and Lai Kee Trading Houses, they were collectively known as the ‘Five Great Trading Houses of Anping’

Takiung Trading House featured an arcade-style design to shield from rain and sun
Adjacent to it, the Anping Tree House served as the warehouse for Takiung Trading House, and their relationship was inseparable, even now they are managed in combination
