Blowulan is transliterated from the Atayal language and means ‘echo’
At that time, when the Atayal people crossed the Chilai Mountain area of the Central Mountain Range from the Taichung area and entered this place, they encountered heavy rain and heard the booming thunder echoing in the valley
Such a shocking feeling left a deep impression, so they named this place Blowulan
