In 1991, Taiwan enacted a comprehensive ban on the felling of natural forests, leading to the decline of this small town, which returned to silence
Today, it has been transformed into the Lin Tongshan Forestry Culture Park, with ongoing renovations of the railway, exhibition halls, Zhongshan Hall, manager’s residence, wood carving museum, machinery repair workshops, forest nostalgia museum, and forestry life museum
These efforts have made Lin Tongshan a well-preserved forestry cultural scenic spot in the eastern region
Lin Tongshan has shed its past glories, with the entire cypress wood architecture still exuding a pleasant fragrance
The intact railway and cableway, coupled with the distinctive community style, have gradually turned Lin Tongshan into a precious attraction that transports visitors into the memories of logging
