Xiaodongtian is located on the seashore 40 kilometers west of Sanya City, about 13 kilometers away from the Ends of the Earth. This scenic spot was discovered by the military governor of Jiyang Army in the Song Dynasty, and later built by Mao Kui, the prefect of Yazhou.
