The Sanya Betel Nut Ethnic Village is located in the Ganshiling Nature Reserve at the Wuzhi Mountain Range. On both sides are steep forests. In the middle is a betel nut valley stretching for several kilometers. Hence, it is called Betel Nut Valley. Coconut represents Hainan. Betel nut represents the Li ethnic group. In the Li ethnic group, there is no courtesy without betel nut and no marriage without betel nut. The word ‘betel nut’ can be said to be the cultural symbol of the Li people. Only by entering Betel Nut Valley, entering the Li ethnic culture, and entering this mysterious forest land can one feel the simple ethnic customs.
