Baicha Village is a natural village under the jurisdiction of Jiangbian Township, Dongfang City, Hainan Province. The thatched cottages in the village are like upside-down boats. The villagers call them ‘ship-shaped houses’. There are a total of 81 ship-shaped houses in Baicha Village, and it is one of the natural villages in Hainan Province where ship-shaped houses are well-preserved. Ship-shaped houses are the carrier of the excellent architectural skills of the Li ethnic group. In 2008, the ship-shaped houses in Baicha Village were included in the national intangible cultural heritage list. Open all year round and open all day.
