The temple is built against the mountain and faces the plain, presenting a magnificent sight. The temple is divided into three sections, consisting of buildings such as the mountain gate, main hall, side halls, rear hall, east and west corridors, bell and drum towers, and stele corridors. All the buildings are laid out along the central axis. The screens in front of the halls on both sides are exquisitely carved and very delicate. The rear hall covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters and is one of the larger ancestral temples in Lingnan region. Leizu Temple has a long history and countless odes and writings. Kou Zhun has poems, Su Dongpo has a prose, Ding Wei wrote a record, and Li Gang inscribed a stele. Now there are still more than 30 steles from past dynasties in the temple. Leizu Temple is located on Yingbang Mountain, five miles southwest of Leizhou City. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it has beautiful scenery and is known as ‘Leigang’s Strange Spectacle’, one of the eight scenic spots of Leiyang. Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00. Must-see tips: 1. Before visiting, tourists need to register and apply for the ‘Guangdong Health Code’ (the procedure is as follows: log in to the WeChat mini-program ‘Yueshengshi’, conduct real-name identity authentication, click on the ‘Guangdong Health Code’ in the ‘Fight against the Epidemic’ column on the homepage to complete the registration.). 2. The scenic area sets up checkpoints to conduct temperature detection and epidemic prevention registration of the ‘Guangdong Health Code’ for tourists. 3. When entering the temple, tourists must present their original ID card or passport (children who have not obtained an ID card must be accompanied by an adult). Those without certificates cannot visit. 4. During the visit, tourists must wear masks and maintain a distance of more than 1.5 meters. Those who do not wear masks cannot visit. 5. During the visit, if tourists feel unwell, please contact the staff. In case of emergency, they must obey the instructions of the staff.
