Zhao Gong Temple is located in Qiongshan District, Haikou City. In the twelfth year of the Hongwu era during the Ming Dynasty (1379), Cai Yu, the commandant of Hainan Guard, constructed Zhao Gong Temple outside the Qiongzhou Prefecture city. Later, the temple was designated as the Temple of Wealth, and Zhao Gong, the Marshal, transformed from a protector deity of the palace gate to the God of War and Wealth.
