Haikou Nanyang River Eco-Golf Club

The golf club is nestled amidst the pristine rainforests of Dadipo Town in Haikou, where the lush natural jungles provide a secluded retreat from the hustle and bustle. The meandering Nanyang River adds vitality to the area with its life-giving waters. The course was personally designed by Malaysian designer Mr. Tan CJ, who ingeniously utilized the natural terrain, preserving the original topography and vegetation, and adhering to the principle of ‘following nature’s way and going with the flow.’ The golf course space was carved out from the virgin jungle, integrating the greenery of the course with the surrounding nature.

Mr. Tan CJ’s design demonstrates that the length of a golf course is not the sole measure of its difficulty. The long grass around the greens, the vast water hazards, and the dense forest alongside the fairways are all elements that test your golfing skills and endurance. The entire course is full of undulations and challenges, with winding paths that invite your imagination. The wild yet dominant nature of the course makes it an excellent choice for those seeking to challenge their limits and surpass themselves. Matching the pristine jungle golf course, the club’s facilities are made entirely of wood, constructed from Russian larch. The building area is 3,800 square meters. Here, you can enjoy Hainan’s unique cuisine and culture, and on golf club event days, you might even witness or participate in Li and Miao song and dance, as well as Li and Miao sports competitions. Strolling through this environment allows you to relax and experience the joy of returning to a pastoral lifestyle, achieving a state of mind that resonates with the phrase ‘long confined, now returning to nature.’

The total length of the fairways is 7,002 yards, with a standard par of 72. Operating hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Key tips: Course size: 18-hole design master: Mr. Tan CJ. Course style: Hilly.
