Our Lady’s Church is a small chapel located in Chengzai Village on Weizhou Island. This church, built in 1882, is a European rural Gothic-style architecture.

The exterior walls of Our Lady’s Church are weathered and ancient, while the interior is very clean and tranquil, featuring a simple courtyard, which is also the reason why many tourists like to take photos here. Our Lady’s Church, also known as the Temple of the Virgin Mary, was built by French missionaries who came to China during the late Qing Dynasty.
In front of the church stands a three-story square bell tower, with the words ‘Our Lady’s Church’ carved on the front. Behind the bell tower is a rectangular church building and a two-story annex. Upon entering the church, you will find it quite simple and unadorned, which makes the environment here very peaceful.
Additionally, it is said that the French priest who built the church is buried within Our Lady’s Church. Opening hours are from 08:30 to 18:00 all year round.
