Guantouling National Forest Park is located at the western end of Beihai urban area. It is a scenic area with both forests and a group of marine erosion reefs. Tourists can stroll on the reef beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery of sunrise and sunset. The main peak of the scenic area, Wanglouling, has an altitude of 120 meters and is the highest point in Beihai urban area. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the surrounding coastal scenery. Guantouling Park is not large in area and there are not many scenic spots. The group of marine erosion reefs here is the main landscape. Strolling on the beach, you can see reefs of different sizes, forming a unique and well-arranged beautiful scenery with the huge steep wall eroded by seawater at the western foot of Guantouling. The famous one on the reef beach is the’reef turtle of eternal love’. This is the landmark scenic spot of Guantouling and attracts people to take photos. After walking through the beach, you can climb the mountain along the footpath. Since the mountain is not high, it is very easy to climb up. When you reach the viewing platform on the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding coastal beauty. There is also a Pudu Temple nearby, and you can also pay a visit.
The opening hours are all day long throughout the year.
Must-see tips: The reefs on the beach are a bit slippery. When visiting the scenic area, pay attention to wearing shoes with better skid resistance, and try not to stand on the reefs immersed in seawater for playing and taking photos.
