Beihai Old City is located in the north of Beihai urban area and borders Sichuan North Road. It is composed of Zhuhai Road, Shaji Street, Zhongshan Road and 25 alleys. Among them, the famous century-old Zhuhai Road was built in 1883. It is about 1.44 kilometers long and about 9 meters wide. The arcade-style buildings combining Chinese and Western styles along the street are connected door to door. The beautiful and delicate parapet walls are looming. The pavement paved with black bricks and stone slabs is simple and unsophisticated, revealing the vicissitudes and solemnity of the old street everywhere. Strolling along the old street, you can enjoy a rich and colorful cultural landscape. The arcade shops along the street are in good order. Cultural theme museums, style bars, characteristic restaurants, and inns are all available. Local products, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, shell root carvings, and Danjia costumes are all rich in atmosphere, as well as characteristic snacks.
