Located in the northern part of Beihai City, the Seashore Park is home to the aquarium situated in Area A of the park, which is one of the larger aquatic exhibition halls in China.
Covering an area of 1600 square meters, it is divided into 7 exhibition rooms, aquariums, sea turtle pools, and seal pools.
The aquarium section features specimens of the endangered and protected manatee (mermaid), as well as a large sea turtle that is over 600 years old and weighs a thousand pounds, which is one of the largest in the country. There are also whale skeletons weighing over ten thousand pounds, large lobster specimens weighing several kilograms, the world-famous ‘Nan Zhu’ pearls, and a live sea turtle weighing over 100 kilograms and over a hundred years old. Dozens of subtropical fish species from the Beibu Gulf are also bred here. Visiting this hall is like wandering through an ocean world, broadening your horizons and increasing your knowledge of the marine world. The park is open from 1/1 to 12/31 from 06:00 to 22:00.
