The ‘Mythical Journey of Heroes’ is an immersive fantasy show meticulously crafted by Chinese media forces in collaboration with international visual art teams, based on the theme of the CCTV documentary ‘Classic of Mountains and Seas’. The series of immersive night tours feature ‘Da Yu’s Water Control’ as the opening act, showcased in the Nine Peaks Scenic Area of Xinchang County, Shaoxing City. Located within the Nine Peaks Scenic Area of Xinchang County, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, the show utilizes the unique natural ecological landscape of the Nine Peaks, with natural cliffs as screens and fantastic valleys as the backdrop. It is based on the prototype of the traditional Chinese fantasy classic ‘Classic of Mountains and Seas’. The main tour route, approximately 2.6 kilometers long, includes thematic scenes such as ‘Chaotic World’, ‘Angry Touching Buzhou Mountain’, ‘Heroes Appear’, ‘Bear Fighting the Water’, ‘Nine-Tailed Fox of Qingqiu’, and ‘Naming of Mountains and Rivers’ to narrate the story of Da Yu’s water control.
The show employs global multimedia technologies such as holographic projection, 3D mapping, motion interaction, online and offline game interaction experiences, laser matrices, and art installations. Combined with fog, lighting, scenery, images, music, and other audio-visual elements, it creates a feast for the senses, integrating sight, sound, and touch. It offers visitors a comprehensive perspective to explore the world, seeking inspiration in this remote and majestic mystical realm, and feeling the charm of traditional Chinese culture. The show is open from April 10th to September 29th, Tuesday to Sunday, 18:30-22:30; October 1st to October 10th, Tuesday to Sunday, 18:30-22:30; October 11th to February 9th, Tuesday to Sunday, 18:00-22:00; February 10th to February 25th, 18:00-22:00; February 26th to April 9th, Tuesday to Sunday, 18:00-22:00; February 26th to September 29th, Monday, closed; October 1st to February 9th, Monday, closed; September 30th, 18:30-22:30. Service facilities include scenic area explanations, maps, restrooms, catering, and souvenir shops.
