Changshu Museum is a historical and artistic museum that integrates collection, research, display, and education. It houses over 11,000 cultural relics dating from as early as the Songze and Liangzhu cultures more than 5,000 years ago to the period of the New Democratic Revolution, with a focus on three main categories: calligraphy and painting, ceramics, and jade.

In recent years, the museum’s collections have been featured in various publications such as the ‘Complete Collection of Fine Arts,’ ‘Liangzhu Jade,’ ‘Four Kings Painting Collection,’ ‘Wu Changshuo’s Calligraphy and Painting Collection,’ ‘Chinese Astronomical Cultural Records,’ ‘Buddhism’s Initial Southern Route Cultural Records,’ and ‘Six Dynasties Art.’ Additionally, the museum has released several albums showcasing its collection of paintings, calligraphy, and seals, including ‘Changshu Museum’s Painting Collection,’ ‘Changshu Museum’s Calligraphy Collection,’ and ‘Changshu Museum’s Seals,’ published by the Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, Cultural Relics Publishing House, and People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, respectively.
