Fangjiahetou Village

Fangjiahetou Village is located in the south of Fanshi, Longshan Town, Cixi City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Among the ancient buildings in Hetou ancient village, the scale is very large. The relatively well-preserved one is the ‘Resident of Cishi’ in the Qing Dynasty. The ‘Resident of Cishi’, also known as the first three houses, is the essence of the ancient buildings in Hetou Village. The main building faces north and is a double-eaved gable and hip roof. The layout is concave. The total floor area is about 1000 square meters. There are eight rooms in each of the east and west buildings. The main room is 4.2 meters wide and 8 meters deep. The secondary rooms are 4 meters wide and 8 meters deep. The end rooms are about 3.6 meters wide and all 8 meters deep, symmetrical. The four rooms at the southern end also have double-eaved gable and hip roofs, 4 meters wide and all 6 meters deep. The north is the main entrance of the ‘Resident of Cishi’. The whole building is made of exquisite materials and has beautiful carvings. On the Taohualing by the village, there are also stone carvings handwritten by Tang Dynasty monks. In addition, there are also ancient buildings such as the Fang’s Ancestral Hall in Hetou Village.
