The sides of the bridge are connected by the whole long slabs of stone to form bridge railings, making the entire bridge look simple and unadorned.

On the side of the bridge facing the West Market River, there are stone steps on both sides of the east and west ends of the bridge that extend into the water. These stone steps are locally referred to as ‘bridge holes’. In the past, residents of the ancient town used to wash rice, vegetables, and laundry on these bridge holes, and they were also the places where housewives would gossip.

The bridge is open all year round and available 24/7.
